Aims & Learning Outcomes:
For Participants to have
- A greater understanding of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), how are they used & their effects.
- An awareness of national and local patterns of NPS, and other drug use and the specialist treatment agency response.
- Knowledge of how to reduce the harm of drug use, in a safeguarding context
Target Audience:
This is a 3 hour course for those professionals (voluntary and statutory) who work with children and young people and their parents/carers regularly (Group 2); who require a basic understanding of drugs and alcohol their misuse and their effects in terms of Safeguarding. The Training has been commissioned by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Public Health Joint Commissioning Unit
