Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Children’s Partnership Board is committed to monitoring and evaluating ‘the effectiveness of [safeguarding children’s] training including multi-agency training, for all professionals in the area. Training should cover how to identify and respond early to the needs of all vulnerable children, including:

  • unborn children;
  • babies;
  • older children;
  • young carers;
  • disabled children;

and those who are in secure settings (developed from Working Together)

The documents below, will support you and your agency to submit your safeguarding children training for validation to the Safeguarding Partnership Board

Please note that the validation process is free for Safeguarding partner agencies and local voluntary agencies. Private training and Social Enterprises will incur a charge to cover administration and validation meeting costs.

It is a mandatory requirement that all single agency training in relation to safeguarding children provided across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area should be ‘validated’ by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Partnership Board
