From 1st April 2019 Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) is adopting national processes for gathering and analysing information relating to child death and we will be moving to a new electronic system called eCDOP to support our local Child Death Review processes.
From this date onwards, any agency that becomes aware of the death of a child occurring in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough or the death of a child that is a resident of Cambridgeshire or Peterborough that occurs out of the area, should complete A. Notification of Child Death (previously known as Form A) via the eCDOP public site https://www.ecdop.co.uk/CambridgeshirePeterborough/Live/Public. The following link provides a video demonstration on how to submit A. Notification of Child Death using the eCDOP portalhttps://youtu.be/qPJ-cHONiPE
Following notification of the death of a child death, all agencies that have been involved with the child will be required to submit a B. Reporting Form (previously known as Form B) via the eCDOP portal. If you are required to submit a B. Reporting Form, you will receive a request by email which will include a link to the reporting form specific to the case. Further guidance on B. Reporting can be found herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23gZsfwqYBw
Please note, eCDOP replaces the old system for notifying and reporting on child death. For deaths occurring after the 1 April 2019, please do not use any of the old forms as these will not be accepted. Notification and reporting of cases occurring after 1 April 2019 must be made via eCDOP.
