The latest version of Working Together to Safeguard Children was published by the Department for Education on 4th July 2018.
The 2018 version replaces the 2015 version and the Transitional Guidance helps explain how to move to a new system of practice reviews.
The Statutory Framework sets out the legislation relevant to safeguarding and it should be read alongside the statutory guidance.
Statutory guidance is issued by law; you must follow it unless there’s a good reason not to.
A version of the guidance for young people and a separate version suitable for younger children are also available for practitioners to share.
Also published by the Department for Education is the Information Sharing Advice for Safeguarding Practitioners which replaces the 2015 version and has been updated to reflect the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018
